Editing For Indie Authors

In the course of my work I read and review a lot of eBooks, some by traditional publishers and some by Indie Authors. I have found that the one thing that most detracts from a great story is poor editing.

Many Indie Authors cannot afford to pay the regular editing rates, so they self-edit, which is hard to do. When you self-edit you read what you think you wrote, and that may not be what you typed in. Spelling, grammar, and typographical errors jar the reader out of the story, something nobody wants to have happen.
